Hanim Yassin is a Seconded National Expert in the Medical Devices Unit of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE). Her work focuses on the implementation of the EU regulatory framework for medical devices, particularly in the areas of post-market surveillance and vigilance, market surveillance, derogations under Article 59 MDR and Article 54 IVDR and obligations concerning interruptions or discontinuations of supply under Article 10a MDR and IVDR.

She has a scientific background and more than eight years of regulatory experience, including work as a scientific officer at the Danish Medicines Agency. Her experience at both national and EU level provides her with a strong understanding of the practical implementation of medical device legislation.
